Leaders in China often do not go to training or get formal coaching. Often they mastered quite a bit to get to the top. They often fail to realize how their small issue that they might not even explicitly know about causes large problems below that are no fault of the workers.
Leaders will say, “These workers need team training” or “These workers are no good.” Actually, the leader and his direct reports need training and all the problems below will disappear.
Small gaps in communication and engagement at the top lead to big misunderstandings and non alignment 4 levels below.
