hands on hiresHands on hires are important to your hiring in China. China has a lot of people who want to be desk jockeys. That is not what you need here. You also do not need people who say they are hands on. You need people who are actually hands on which must also include a dash of initiative. This is also a gap in China that needs to be filled.  They seemed to be tied together, so lets talk hands on.

Some guys don’t want to get their hands dirty. Others don’t like to leave the office. Some are non technical and secretly feel intimidated on the line or outside the office.

Most English speaking candidates for work with Western Companies know about your desire for hands on. This makes the filtering job even more difficult. Everyone can tell stories on how hands on they are.

Hands on Hires are Worth the Effort to Identify

We are just the group who people come to to make sure they get hands on hires.

We have learned from experience that candidates saying they are hands on is not a reliable measure of how hands on they are.

Our ‘always doubt the candidates words‘ philosophy pays off here. People tell us hands on stories, and we make a note to check up on that. We find the truth.  The truth is super valuable to any hire, but certainly here.

Talking to previous bosses- the transparent hands on hires get sparkling references when we talk to them. They note their initiative and hands on to know the real data.  They also note how they share openly.  These game changers are not low hanging fruit. These people are the champions in their space, and we uncover them. Their resumes can never set the gems apart like talking to their previous boss. With their backing, we can confidently push forward such great hires as we are no longer hoping or guessing.
