non transparency has high costsFirst, lets clarify what transparency is as I talk about it so much. Honesty means not lying. you can be honest and not transparent but all transparent people must be honest.  Integrity means peoples words and actions stick together. With a few minor exceptions, transparency also covers all of integrity. So, now lets talk about why non transparency has high costs.

I often say you need a window and not a wall working for you. (I am not saying to get someone with a loose tongue who will give away your trade secrets)

So, transparency means you not only have someone who tells you the truth but goes farther to tell you what you should know.

Lacking this, you have. a devious person who for his or her benefit against you is talking.  This is different then discernment when talking to your boss.

It is Not Everything, But Non Transparency Has High Costs

Surely, recruiting needs the right talent every time, but ignoring or assuming transparency has high costs. I like to note that if you are NOT going to ensure you get an honest person, then make sure they are stupid. If you hire a talented person, and they are not trustworthy. Then, they can harm you like you would not imagine because they are so smart.

We have great success in finding candidates as shown in our 96% success rate of making good placements.

From this, we can also know more. Why do people choose to not be be transparent? They must have something to hide. In the interview, they want to hide that they do not have the talent you want.  They hide it successfully by telling you great stories that are not true. Then, even the talent you focused ion getting does not prove to be true talent. Transparency is basic, or you never have real data. Without real data, you cannot make good decisions. Hiring quality goes down, and then the results of bad hiring show up as well.
