deep background checks at SHI Group RecruitingSaying we do background checks should mean background checks that find problems, or they show you who not to hire. Unfortunately, most recruiting background checks never kick out anyone. Thus, we have to use alternative phrasing.   We end up saying we do deep background checks at SHI Group. That is not very satisfying to us.  However, SHI Group hopes it helps you see that we despise normal checks. We check to get the data that will get bad candidates kicked out. That is what we mean.

If  a normal recruiter does a background check, he or she might say to his old company “Did he work for you?”   This is too weak.   Notably, the recruiter can say they checked, and you still do not know if they fired him two months after he started. You gain the false feeling that this check covered all.

Deep Background Checks at SHI Group Come Standard

Why don’t they ask for the dates he worked? Why don’t they inquire what title he had? Most recruiters do not want to ask such questions. It will kill many candidates that they could easily sell to their clients. They apparently think that is too much work. Finding new candidates is really hard work. We come in to each recruiting job expecting such hard work.  SHI Group does not sign up with you to shoot craps because we do not dig deep enough.

We are chagrined when we learn a candidate lied to us, but we are also empowered as we can go out to find the right person. SHI Group knows from experience that the right person exists. It is trouble, but our fame grows as we again do the right thing. Every recruiter can get lucky with a good hire now and then. We assure the process by keeping the bad hire away from your door.

The bad hires have the most beautiful resumes, and often are well practiced in getting interviews as they get fired so often. We let the other recruiters place these people. They want the turn over. That is not SHI Group’s business model. We search till we get talented and proven candidates who you can trust well.
